The Lord of the Rings Conquest is an action game developed by Pandemic Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It is based on The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and borrows many gameplay mechanics from Pandemic’s Star Wars: Battlefront games. The game allows the player to play as both the forces of good and evil, but unlike The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, the latter option is based around Sauron stopping the One Ring from being destroyed and fighting back. On December 23, 2008, the PlayStation 3 demo was made available on the PlayStation Network while the Xbox 360 demo was released January 2, 2009.

Campaign

In the Good campaign, players follow the main events of the films, and in the Evil campaign where players control the forces of darkness in a new storyline. In this alternative ending Frodo failed to destroy the Ring and Middle-earth is conquered by Sauron. The best part is you can actually choose who and what history you wanna follow, which makes Conquest a half RPG .

Competitive multiplayer modes include conquest, capture the ring, team deathmatch and hero deathmatch all of which are based from Star Wars: Battlefront 2 gametypes. Up to sixteen players can play online. Players can also use online connection to download more heroes, villains, and maps. Cooperative mode is available for up to two players split-screen or online on the Xbox 360 and PS3 (two-player split-screen on the PS3).

Classes

The whole Lord of the Rings success is based on the variety of classes inculding heroes from which you can choose and fight, making the game different in every way starting the player you choose, which will have he’s/her own path in the battle field. By chooosing and testing every one of them you will actually understand how many parts the game has.

• Warrior: A melee combat unit which uses swordplay. Warriors can gain strength to unleash more powerful attacks, such as setting their swords on fire. They can also block and perform counter attacks with special moves. The warrior also has a throwing axe as a secondary weapon.

• Archer: A long ranged unit with a bow and arrow that plays like a third person shooter. Different types of arrows such as fire arrows which can knock down enemies, poison arrows which slow enemies down and do damage over time, and a multi arrow attack which fires a volley of three arrows at multiple enemies. They also have a close quarters kick attack, which knocks back the enemy.

They can also hit stealthed Scouts, with the multi arrow skill

• Scout: A master in the art of moving unseen. The scouts primary weapons are two daggers, and he has the ability to cloak and kill units from behind. He also has satchel bombs filled with blasting powder as a ranged attack.

• Mage: A mage’s primary attack is lightning, this can be charged up for a more powerful attack. Mages can also heal allies. The staff can also be used for melee. To protect himself and others around him from ranged attacks a mage can create an orb. The mage is vulnerable to melee while this is active.

Any unit can ride a mount; mounts include horses and wargs. Wargs and horses are useful as they can quickly traverse areas. Hits against mounts result in the player being dismounted. The player wields a sword when mounted on a horse. Mounts can trample enemies by riding into them.

As we all are waiting for the new “The Lost and Damned” Rockstar wanted us to have a small taste of what they would be one of the most thrilling GTA’s. There will be plenty of missions where you’ll ride out as part of a pack of Lost, with your brothers helping you out in the tougher firefights. You’ll be encouraged to keep your bros alive, and surviving members of your gang will receive a stats boost to their health, accuracy, and damage dealing after each mission. If a Lost member does die, he’ll be replaced with a new brother with set-to-zero stats. Simply put, the longer they stay breathing, the more help they’ll be. And the attempts to make you feel like a member of a real biker gang don’t stop there. When you’re riding with your gang, a Lost logo will appear on the road to indicate where you need to be in order to stay in formation. If you stick to the logo, you’ll be rewarded with dialogue with your brothers, as well as a small health boost.

The game is probably going to teach us the world of a newbie in a new Vice gang, so be sure to find the game as one of the TOP series of Rockstar +18 .

Since last released , Fable 2 added a couple of millions of new XBox 360 fans. This new online game went up and gained the name of one of the best MORPG’s for the 360.Here are the main characteristics of Fable referring to all forum posts and fan reviews and entered in the following categories:
The gameplay satisfies all gaming needs by it’s simplicity and RPG character, even the smallest choices influencing on one of those hundreds 0f alternative endings. The is a great option actually  -  to not stick to the storyline and become a simple citizen of the Fable world, working day after day, traveling through the whole world and finding new adventures. The game itself is interesting and hypnotizes you from the very beginning by it’s intensive action, quest variety and paths you may choose. The leader of the project warned us by saying “…by accomplishing quests you only gain experience, and if you need money, you will actually have to work….” .  Quests are useful for gaining new skills, which helps you in combats and makes the fighting quests easier, but when it comes to money earning there is a big choice left for you: starting from dancing on the streets and sword making, and ending with being a skillful, paid assassin. The programmers didn’t forget about the light side or dark side either, installing a very influencing side determiner, which actually chooses the end of the story, so be careful cause even the smallest choice or reply will actually mean something.

Graphics:

There is a big fat plus when it comes to the graphic,  which can conquer easily with the one from “Assasin Creed” . The graphics are very realistic vary in colors, making the motions and views scenical and making you just wanna view that sunset over the sea.

The Minus:

The thing LIONHEAD forgot is - us PC fans, which were loyal with the first Fable, but actually not telling any reason why they didn’t create a PC version.

This is an update about what is happening today:

We have sent out the first wave of invites to clans and individual testers. We will send more waves of invites within a few hours. Invited players will be able to download the Darkfall installer.

We are applying the latest patch, and players will be able to start patching soon, and entering the game.

We are spacing out the invites in order to facilitate the download of the client and patching. We will continue sending out more invites every day until we reach our capacity.

Since this first phase has to do with stress testing the servers, and doing final testing on features, we are not lifting the NDA until this testing is concluded.
